NEWSPAPER WORK

Washington Mutual Center engineers spent more than five hours Tuesday afternoon to carefully close window blinds in various parts of the west side of the building to form a giant heart. The 180-foot Valentine was completed shortly after 5 p.m. The engineers estimated it took more than 1,500 adjustments to the blinds to create the heart. (© Karen Ducey 2007)
